Let’s talk G-Plan! It all started with E Gomme Ltd of High Wycombe, making furniture in his woodshop. It was then carried over in 1953 by his grandson, Donald, where the G Plan brand was born. “G” being a tribute to “Gomme,” and “plan” referring to “a plan for living,” this new post-war brand aspired to move away from traditional and into a more modern and good quality furniture. It was known as one of the UK’s largest furniture manufacturers that was originally founded in 1898, and then acquired by Sofa Brands International in 2005.
In 1966, the Fresco range was born and instantly became a great success for G Plan. It combines the circle, sculptural, and teak to form its own unique and highly desirable look.
G Plan is highly sought after due to its amazing quality and high performance teak wood. Teak is hard-wearing and durable, which is why these pieces are still so often in impeccable condition after such a long time period.
